DADU: A police official of Rapid Response Force was sent behind bars on Thursday on charges of harassing a female teacher.

Dadu SSP Abdul Khaliq Pirzado ordered the policeman Dilber Lanjar locked-up after the school teacher lodged a complaint against him at A-Section police station, accusing him of harassing her.

She complained that Lanjar stalked her on her way as she walked from her home to Gharibabad girls primary school where she taught.

She said the policeman asked her to have relationship with him and when she refused he started issuing her death threats.

She demanded police provide her protection from the policeman.

The SSP said that a DSP-led inquiry committee had been formed to investigate the woman’s complaint. If Lanjar was found guilty, he would be terminated from service, he said.
