PUTD retain title

LAHORE, Dec 31: Defending champions Punjab University Teaching Department (PUTD) retained the title of the Punjab University Women Inter-collegiate cricket championship, beating Government Post Graduate College, Gujranwala by eight wickets on Saturday.

Batting first, Gujranwala scored 109 for six in 20 overs with Afshan scoring 25 runs. For the winners, Sumaira took two wickets for 15 runs.

Yasmin, Ayesha, Ambreen and Nazish claimed one wicket each.

The winners achieved the target in 17.2 overs scoring 110 for two with Ambreen (33) and Bushra (21) the top scorers.
