OKARA: Police on Tuesday registered a case against three people, including a schoolteacher and a watchman, and arrested two of them for allegedly raping a class-VIII visually challenged girl student at Dipalpur for the last two months.

As per first information report, music teacher [in September] lured a visually challenged student into school washroom and allegedly raped her.

The suspect pressurised the girl not to tell anyone otherwise she would be expelled from the school. Later, school watchman along with another person also raped the girl.

The teacher off and on raped the girl. Some days back, the girl informed her father of the matter who moved area magistrate court and got her medically examined.

On the report of girl’s father, City Dipalpur police on Monday registered a case against three suspects under section 376 of Pakistan Penal Code and arrested the teacher and the watchman. The third suspect is yet to be nabbed.

MISSING: A minor girl went missing from Haveli Lakkha Town locality on Tuesday.

According to first information report, ‘S’ (13) went out of her house to purchase some edibles from a local grocery but did not return home. Her uncle Sarfraz launched a search and learnt that she was seen with a local.

On the report of Sarfraz, Haveli Lakkha police have registered a case against the suspect under section 365-B of Pakistan Penal Code.
