LAHORE: A five-day singing workshop began on Monday at Alhamra.

Sara Raza Khan, a noted singer, is running the sessions.

According to Ms Khan, the Alhamra platform ensures a bright future for every performing artist who works hard, is committed, and is enthusiastic about what they want to do since they may learn here and then be prepared for the demands of the real world of singing.

This training will go on till Dec 2.

Alhamra Executive Director Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi said the organisation sought to use these seminars to support and showcase performing artists’ gifted skill.

He stated that further workshops were being held in Alhamra in many fields to showcase fresh talent.

Ajoka Nights: The Ajoka Theatre organised Ajoka Nights – a cultural event – at the Punjab Institute of Language, Art and Culture (Pilac).

The event, organised in collaboration with the Pilac, included short theatre performances, music and live qawwali. The audience was taken to the Pilac Baithak where Ajoka actors gave performances and performed extracts from Ajoka plays.

The actors included Usman Zia, Usra Irfan, Sumavia Zaman, Nasir Mehmood, Rai Kamran, Asad Bhatti, Shehrbano Rehmani and Ajoka veteran Sarfraz Ansari, who appeared on Ajoka stage after many years.
