PESHAWAR, Dec 31: The NWFP Health Department has approved free treatment facility for poor hepatitis patients from the endowment fund at the Lady Reading Hospital.

The hospital’s medical superintendent has been asked to devise a mechanism for the purpose.

A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting of the endowment fund committee held with provincial Minister for Health Inayatullah Khan in the chair on Saturday. NWFP Secretary for Health Abdus Samad Khan, members of the committee and other experts attended the meeting.

The meeting deliberated upon finding out ways and means for investing endowment resources in income generating projects.—Correspondent
