Landlord Chaudhry Shaukat Wahla was present in his outhouse when his employees, including two women, came there. They caught hold of the landlord, tied him with a rope and started beating him severely with clubs. Later, they locked him in a room in a deteriorated condition where he died of his wounds.

The family of the deceased informed the Sadar police who arrested five accused — Maqsood, Matloob, Sabir, Razia Bibi and Mehwish Bibi while Muhammad Ramzan managed to escape.

Police have registered a case against the accused and are investigating.
