LAHORE: As many as 897 bachelors (Hons), 248 postgraduate and one PhD student were awarded degrees in various disciplines during annual convocation of the Forman Christian College (a chartered university).

Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman was the chief guest while dignitaries, FCC faculty, staff and families of the graduates were present.

As many as 31 named medals and 15 postgraduate medals were awarded to students for achievements in their respective disciplines. Fifty-one certificates of distinction were awarded to students scoring high CGPAs. Six students were awarded Roll of Honor Co-curricular Awards and 14 students were presented Outstanding Student Awards in their respective departments and faculties.

Mr Rehman advised the students to step fearlessly into their new journey as the world has opened up for even more opportunities than before. The degrees and medals were presented to the graduates by Rector Dr Jonathan Addleton, Vice Rector Dr Douglas Trimble and Registrar Dr Nayer Fardows.
