TOBA TEK SINGH: A man who was videotaped on social media often pestering schoolgirls on city streets and roads was arrested on Thursday.

Parents reportedly complained to the police about Faheem Asghar, of Fatima Town, who would follow the girls when they got home from school, according to a police press release.

A case was registered against him under sections 354 and 509 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

ACCIDENTS: One person was killed and another was injured when their motorcycle hit a tractor-trolley on Canal Road in Faisalabad.

According to Rescue 1122, Muhammad Riaz died, while pillion rider Muhammad Ashraf was taken to the Faisalabad District Headquarters Hospital. A motorcyclist was also killed after he was hit by a bus on Millat Road in Faisalabad’s Jamia Chishtia Chowk. The deceased was identified as Abdul Basit of Gojra.

On Thursday in Faisalabad, a labourer was electrocuted in Chak 509 GB in Samundri. Muhammad Atif, who died, was on the top of a newly built house when his hand unintentionally brushed live electric wires flowing overhead.

KABADDI: Kabaddi will be promoted at the national and international levels while a team of Faisalabad Divisional Kabaddi Association Faisalabad will soon visit Haryana (India).

At a meeting of the FCCI Standing Committee on Sports and the association, the Kabaddi calendar for the year was approved, under which inter-tehsil, inter-district, the Faisalabad Gold Cup, Kashmir Kabaddi, the Ghosia Cup, the FCCI International Kabaddi League, and Junior Inter Club Kabaddi Tournaments were approved.

The meeting was attended by Rana Muhammad Sikandar Azam, Syed Shafiq Hussain, Chaudhry Shabbir Sindhu, Mian Kashif, Tanveer Tarar, Abdul Hakeem, Asghar Ali Achho and Fazal Haq Gujjar.
