KARACHI, Dec 31: Seven ships carrying containers, general cargo and to load rice and fish are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where 10 vessels were berthed. They are: PONL Buenos Aires, Sagamore, Conti Harmony, Thor Captain, Sinar Bontang, and United Prosperity to unload and load containers; Inca Maiden to offload cars, Shalamar to offload crude oil, Emerald to unload coal, and Heng Tai to unload and load general cargo.

Sailing was also active as seven vessels, Corin Thakios, Kota Tampan, Sagamor, Maers Alaska, Eleonora, Hazel Ace and Inca Maiden departed on Saturday, while Shalamar, United Prosperity, Ibn Al-Moataz and Khairpur are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity remained fairly brisk as the total tonnage rose to 0.138m tons comprising 24,2 tons of export cargo, including 7,423 tons of rice and import tonnage of 0.114m tons.

The following Ships are due during the next two days: Elli with crude oil, Tai He, Yang Jiang He, MOL Silver Fern with containers, Sancris to load 3,500 tons of rice, Ryoma to load 40 tons of fish and Iran Takhti with general cargo.
