Dacoits on the rampage

GUJRANWALA, Dec 30: Dacoits looted a house, an insurance company area manager and took away two cars and a motorcycle in different strikes in and around city on Friday.

Five armed men entered the house of Akram in Cantonment and escaped after collecting Rs300,000 in cash and jewellery worth Rs150,000.

Three robbers intercepted an insurance company area manager Azim Butt and his wife and snatched Rs100,000, a cell phone and gold ornaments from them and fled.

Cars of district bar association and district council member Ms Samina Zareen of Ghakkar Town and Khalid Rashid of Condlanwala Road were taken away from outside their houses.

Khadim Husain was deprived of his motorcycle and a mobile phone by four robbers near Satellite Town.
