MIRPURKHAS: Office-bearers of the All Pakistan Clerks Association (Apca) Sindh have accused Mirpurkhas Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education chairman Barkat Ali A. Haidery and acting secretary Anisuddin Siddique of corruption.

The two had started victimising clerks after the body exposed their wrongdoings, said Apca Sindh general secretary Arshad Zubair, vice president Ali Shan Shah, deputy secretary general Noman Rajput, Nadeem Khan, Abdul Ghaffar and others at a joint press conference here on Thursday.

They said the chairman and acting secretary were issuing baseless show-cause notices to them for the absence from duty despite their regular attendance.

They pointed out that they had sent several complaints about their corruption to higher authorities but in vain. They said the two officers were issuing show-cause notices and transfer orders to harass them.

“We complained to the secretary of universities and boards and he ordered an inquiry but it led nowhere,” they said.

They said: “We had also complained to Sindh Minister for Universities and Boards Ismail Raho in writing but to no avail.”

If action was not taken against the corrupt officers, they would launch a massive protest campaign from Monday in all the educational boards and departments of the government, they warned.

They demanded Sindh chief minister, chief secretary, minister Ismail Raho and secretary Mureed Rahimoon replace the two officers and order a inquiry against them.
