KARACHI, Dec 30: Six ships carrying steel scrap, palm oil and to load molasses and naphtha are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where seven ships, Iran Baabaei, APL Orchid, Mearsk Alaska, Mol Asnte, to unload and load containers, Hazel Ace and Elise to unload 300 and 350 cars, and Padang Halaban to offload oil were berthed after the departure of eight.

The ships which departed were led by Iran Baabaei, Satha Bum, Y.M. Fortune, APL Orchid, Fu Nui Shan, Cape Scott, Elise and Mirinda Rose, while Hazel Ace, Mearks Alaska, Inca Maiden, Kota Tampan, Padang Halaban, Khairpur, San Hope, George Lyras, Mol Asante and Conti Harmony are due to sail out on Saturday.

A total tonnage of 87,341 tons comprising 43,775 tons of export cargo including 10,824 tons of rice and 43,566 tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Asdrubal, to load 11,000 tons of molasses, Beta Tank, to load naphtha, Kota Jasa and United Prosperity, to unload and load containers, Golden Sky, to offload steel scrap and Marine Champion to offload 9,500 tons of palm oil.
