TAXILA: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued a schedule for the by-election in the Cantonment Board of Wah on December 4.

The by-poll is being held after the demise of elected member from the constituency 2, Raja Mohammad Ayub of the PML.

According to the schedule, notice for invitation of nomination papers would be issued by the returning officer on Oct 28. Nomination papers would be received from November 1 to 3. Publication of nomination papers would be made on November 4. Last day for filing of appeals against the acceptance or rejection of nomination papers is November 10.

The final list of candidates with election symbols will be released on November 11 while the last date for disposal of appeals by the appellate authority is November 14.

The revised list of candidates will be announced on November 15 while the last date for withdrawal of candidature is November 17. December 4 has been set for announcement of provincial results by the returning officer and December 6 as the last date for declaration of official results by the returning officer.
