Nida, Asmat sparkle

LAHORE, Dec 26: Nida and Asmat helped Government Post Graduate College, Gujranwala enter the final of the Punjab University women’s Inter-collegiate cricket championship beating Islamia College, Faisalabad by 80 runs in the first semifinals on Monday.

Nida scored an unbeaten 64 as Gujranwala piled up 140 for five in 20 overs. She struck 10 fours and two sixes. Asma took two wickets for 13 runs.

Asmat took four wickets for 20 as Faisalabad were bowled out for 60 in 15 overs.

Wednesday’s semifinal: Punjab University Teaching Departments v Government College, Sialkot.
