PESHAWAR: The Khyber Medical University will hold medical and dental college admission test (MDCAT) on November 13 in different districts of the province.

The test will be conducted by Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (Etea) under KMU’s supervision. Candidates will appear in 13 centres in various districts simultaneously.

A decision to this was made at a meeting of the Provincial Admission Committee chaired by health minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra, according to a statement issued here on Wednesday.

KMU Vice-Chancellor Prof Ziaul Haq and secretary health Amir Sultan Tareen were also in attendance.

Etea will make three-hour MDCAT paper in line with syllabus of the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC). The test will start at 11am at all the centres simultaneously.

A carbon copy of the test will be provided to the students at the end of the paper and the KEY of the test will be uploaded on the websites of PMC, Etea and KMU at 9pm the same day.

The statement said that after obtaining candidates’ details from PMC, they will be allotted roll numbers and test centres.

The meeting was informed that PMC will be approached to bear the cost of the test.
