KUWAIT CITY, Jan 29: The growing ties between India and Israel aims at destroying Pakistan, the only Islamic nuclear power.

This was stated by the special envoy of President Musharraf, Communications Minister Javed Ashraf Qazi, at a press conference here.

Mr Ashraf, accompanied by Ijaz Al Haq, arrived here on Monday to inform the Kuwaiti leadership about the prevailing tension on the boarders of Pakistan and India.

Speaking to newsmen, the minister urged the international community to take a serious note of relationship of India and Israel. He called on Kuwait First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah and apprised him of the tension and the steps taken by President Musharraf to defuse it. He also delivered a message of Mr Musharraf to Sheikh Sabah.

Kuwait Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah assured the minister that he would do his best to help defuse the tension between Pakistan and India.

Mr Sabah had appreciated the efforts of President Musharraf to defuse the present standoff with India, Mr Ashraf said.
