BAHAWALPUR: Former regional police officer (RPO) Bahawalpur Sadiq Ali Dogar has denied any laxity in the performance of his professional duties during his tenure here particularly in his campaign to eliminate the hardened criminals in the Kacha areas of Rahim Yar Khan district.

In a press release issued by his PRO Saqib Ajmal, Dogar dispelled the impression given about his ‘poor’ performance due to which there was resurgence of hardened criminals in the Kacha areas.

The former RPO claimed that during his stay here he deployed heavy police force to check robberies, set up 63 permanent and 22 temporary check-posts in addition to 45 teams of Elite Force.

Dogar also claimed the killing of six dacoits including four belonging to notorious Indhar gang in several police encounters.

He said several kidnapped persons were freed by the police while a number of history sheeters were arrested under his command.
