NOWSHERA, Dec 23: Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) President Qazi Hussain Ahmed has said the combined opposition will launch a countrywide ‘Remove Musharraf’ campaign after Eidul Azha. “All opposition parties are united on the agenda to dislodge President Musharraf from power,” Qazi Hussain said while addressing a luncheon hosted in his honour by the Nowshera Press Club and Union of Journalists here on Friday.

He said that the opposition would heave a sigh of relief after removing President Musharraf from power. The drive against Musharraf is aimed at restoring the army’s status and to invite its attention towards the real responsibility of guarding the country’s frontiers, he said.

Qazi Hussain said that during incumbent government tenure it had become difficult for the common man to survive due to inflation, unemployment and skyrocketing petroleum prices.

He said that President Gen Musharraf was not sincere in constructing the Kalabagh dam as he was only raising this issue to prolong his tenure.—Online
