LONDON: As many as nine runners from Pakistan competed at Sunday’s London Marathon, in an attempt to raise funds for The Citizens Foundation Flood Relief Appeal.

The runners included Adnan Gandhi, Kaukab Sarwar, Hira Diwan, Muhammad Affan, Nadir Shera, Shanzé Shah, Fahd Mukhtar, Salman Khan and Ahmed Mustafa Khan, who backed the TCF appeal which aims to provide five million meals and assist in the reconstruction of 9000 homes for flood-affected families in Pakistan.

Kenyan Amos Kipruto marked his London Marathon debut with a decisive victory on Sunday and Ethiopia’s Yalemzerf Yehualaw stormed to victory in the women’s race ahead of last year’s winner Joyciline Jepkosgei.
