ISLAMABAD: Sarah Inam, who was murdered by her husband Shahnawaz Amir last week, was buried on Wednesday.

Earlier, her parents and brother reached the capital from Canada, police said.

Her father Inam Rahim, an uncle and brother came to the hospital to collect the body of the deceased. Later her funeral prayer was offered at a graveyard in Chak Shahzad where she was buried.

Talking to media, Inam Rahim demanded the murderer be sentenced to death within two to three hearings.

“It will be a huge injustice if the case was delayed,” Mr Rahim said, adding that such crimes would continue and people would forget if a verdict on the case was delayed.

Mentioning Noor Mukadam case, he said people seduce rich and capable women and then harass and loot them.

His daughter had been in Dubai for the last one decade and had a good job, and Shahnawaz was after her money, he added.
