Fog stops play

Published December 23, 2005

LAHORE, Dec 22: Not a single ball could be bowled on the first day of two Patron’s Trophy Grade I matches in Punjab due to foggy weather on Thursday.

At Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad, Wapda and Service Industries lost the first day as thick fog throughout the day did not allow the teams to enter the field.

Similarly, National Bank of Pakistan and Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited failed to start the match at the Sheikhupura Stadium, Sheikhupura.

The matches are likely to suffer more as the MET offices has forecast more foggy weather for the various cities of the province situated in Nort-West-East and on the central areas.
