CHARSADDA: A tent village school opened for flood-hit children in Sardaryab area here on Sunday.

According to Al-Khidmat Foundation officials, the recent floods and rains devastated life in the areas as education sector was the worst sufferer in the aftermath of floods. Keeping in view the suffering of children’s education, the foundation established tent school in Sardaryab locality. The foundation has provided stationery, bags and other items to students to continue their education without any hurdle.

Meanwhile, a girl student of Peshawar Model School, Charsadda branch, got third position in the secondary school certificate part-1 examination results declared by the Peshawar Intermediate and Secondary Education Board. Forty-one other students of the school also secured place in the top 20 positions.

Manza Subhan got 545 marks out of total 550 and secured third position in the 9th class exam, while standing first in her school.

Hureena Jamal of the school got 542 marks, Sanad Durrani 541, Iqra Naseer 540, Laiba Khan 539, and Gul Afshan, Faryal Sajid, Aisha Gulalai, and Sherin Amjad got 538 marks each.
