PESHAWAR, Dec 22: NWFP Senior Minister Sirajul Haq has asked Zakat chairmen to ensure just and transparent distribution of Zakat funds as well as help the government to further simplify the procedure of registration of deserving and poor people for minimizing their suffering and ensuring a welfare society.

Addressing a workshop of chairmen of local Zakat committees at Timergara on Thursday, he said distribution of Zakat was the most sensitive religious and national responsibility that must be discharged with fear of the Almighty.—APP
