KARACHI: The new director general of Pakistan Rangers Sindh, Major General Azhar Waqas on Tuesday assumed his new responsibilities as the head of the paramilitary force.

A spokesperson said that the outgoing Rangers chief, Maj Gen Iftikhar Hasan Chaudhry, handed over command to Maj Gen Waqas in a ceremony held at the Rangers headquarters.

Meanwhile, the outgoing Rangers chief called on Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. The CM appreciated his performance and wished him luck for his future endeavours.
