KARACHI, Dec 22: Four vessels carrying containers, Meg, canola seeds and chemical were allotted berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday. Meanwhile, two more ships carrying containers and jute arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy stood at 78 per cent as seven ships were busy in loading and unloading containers, rice, chemicals, general cargo, canola seeds and coal.

A cargo volume of 51,848 tons comprising 32,871 tons of import and 18,977 tons of export was handled.

Sailing was active as Ace-7, Indigo and Yanaseni left the port. While five ships, Al-Wajba, Carmen, Anette Kosan, Amarica and Golden Star, were awaiting their berthing turn at the outer anchorage.
