LONDON: Mr Abdul Wali Khan, National Awami Party leader, who arrived here during the weekend [Sept 9-10], reacted sharply to the news stories about the alleged ‘London Plan’. Khan Wali asserted that his presence in London was purely for medical reasons and it was not correct to say that he was on a political mission in Europe.

[Meanwhile, as reported by agencies in Islamabad] The National Pay Commission has recommended that the pay of Secretary to the Central Government should go up to Rs 3,500 from the present Rs 3,000 per month. The Commission … has recommended a further 11 national scales of pay to cover all categories of gazette Government employees.
