ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training on Thursday notified promotion of 52 female teachers serving in Islamabad’s schools from grade 17 to 18.

According to the notification, with their promotion from grade 17 to 18, they have become vice principals.

President School Teachers’ Association Malik Ameer Khan said that promotion of the teachers had been pending for long and Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) and the education ministry deserved appreciation for it.

He said that like female teachers, cases of male teachers of grade 17 and above should also be finalised for promotion. Similarly, he said that promotion of non-teaching staff should also be done.

“We are pinning high hope on incumbent DG FDE, who has already resolved our many chronic issues, for resolving the issue of pending promotions of teaching and non-teaching staff,” he said.
