TOBA TEK SINGH, Dec 20: A Faisalabad police team on Tuesday arrested an alleged accomplice of self-styled ‘Imam Mehdi’ Shahbaz Ahmad from Gojra.

Shahbaz was arrested last week when he along with accomplices had announced publicly that he was ‘Imam Mehdi’ and made hostage the passengers of a bus on the motorway.

A source said Zahid Mughal, 15, was very close to the accused and he was present in his house in Chak 242-GB, Noorpur Basti, some 10km away from Gojra, when the police conducted a raid and arrested him.

The source said during investigation, Shahbaz had confessed that he had sodomized the youth many times. The boy also confirmed it.
