HYDERABAD, Dec 20: District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil on Saturday asked local body representatives, district government, NGOs and media to launch a campaign against use of plastic bags. He was visiting an exhibition of photographs and models at the Mehran Arts Council organized by the Taluka Municipal Administration to depict harmful affects of polythene bags on human lives, environment and drainage system.

The district nazim said that collective efforts were needed to educate people about harmful effects of polythene bags. He said the district government had given two months to manufacturers of the plastic bags to manufacture some other plastic product.
