Peshawar rout Islamabad

KARACHI, Jan 28: Discarded Test fast bowler Fazle Akbar claimed a match haul of 12 for 134 Monday as Peshawar achieved a comprehensive 318-run victory over Islamabad inside three days in the Quaid Trophy Grade-I tie at Arbab Niaz Stadium.

Left-arm pacer Kabir Khan, another Test reject, also took four wickets as Islamabad were bundled out for 117 in their second innings, according to details available here.

Earlier, wicket-keeper Zulfiqar Jan slammed a whirlwind 100 off 74 balls to help Peshawar close their second innings at 295 for seven.
