Rahman stars with 11 wickets

KARACHI, Dec 18: Slow left-armer Abdur Rahman returned match figures of 11 for 148 as Habib Bank overwhelmed KRL by nine wickets on the third day of the Patron’s Trophy Grade-I cricket championship fixture at NBP Sports Complex on Sunday.

Rahman, the 25-year-old Sialkot-born spinner, took a career-best six for 28 as KRL were bowled out for 132 in their second innings.

The bankers reached a target of 43 in nine overs.

Earlier, Habib Bank obtained a first-innings lead of 90 runs after adding 69 further runs to their overnight score of 268 for six. Farhan Adil fell for 85 while Abdur Rahman made a handy 37.

Ali Naqvi ended up with four for 47 while Alamgir Khan claimed three for 56.
