Minister trolled for misstating facts about national anthem

LAHORE: Federal Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb was trolled on social media for presenting wrong facts about the launch of the national anthem.

Talking to the media ahead of the Independence Day, Ms Aurangzeb had said first prime minister of the country, Liaquat Ali Khan, launched the national anthem in 1954. Now Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would relaunch the national anthem after 68 years, she added.

The minister was trolled on social media for her glaring mistake as Liaquat Ali Khan was assassinated in 1951, some three years before the first launch of the national anthem. Ms Aurangzeb, however, did not apologise for her mistake so far.

It was slip of Marriyum tongue and people should not make fuss out of it. Imran Khan while he was PM during his press conference in Tehran have joined borders of Germany and Japan and have said that Germany and Japan have killed millions of people of each other until the II world war was over and have declared these two countries are next door neighbours of each other have joint industries at their respective borders. Therefore, Marriyum slip of tongue should not be used as her incapability.

I always wondered as child our National language is Urdu but national anthem is in Persian. Is persian our language or we Pakistani all persians by birth? There is only one Urdu word i.e. KA all others actually Persian.

How can one expect from the learned PM of Pakistan to have no knowledge of geography and give statement in press conference and that too in a foreign country which was aired in the entire world. What would people in the world have thought about Imran Khan's capability and intellectual capacity when he said so? Don't be blind to follow the cult.
