KARACHI: Sindhi convention on 24th

KARACHI, Dec 18: The Sindhi Association of North America is holding its first ever convention in Karachi on Dec 24. National languages issue in Pakistan; status of federation: democracy, human rights and rule of law; and issues like demographic changes: threats to the life, identity and social, cultural, economic, political and human rights of the indigenous people will be discussed during the convention.

Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Asma Jahangir, Barrister Abdul Haifz Pirzado, Rasool Bux Palijo, Asfand Yar Wali, Ataullah Mengal, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Comrade Sobho Gianchandani, Mohammad Ibrahim Joyo, Fakhar Zaman, Afrasiab Khattak, A K Lodhi, Engr Mohammad Idris Rajput and MNA Abdul Mujeeb Pirzado have been invited to speak on the occasion. —PPI
