KARACHI, Dec 15: Following Pakistan’s victory in the third one-day international cricket match at Karachi on Thursday, City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal declared a holiday for government and private educational institutions in the city on Dec 16.

Under an announcement of the city government, educational institutions remained closed on Thursday as well on the eve of the match. Talking to Dawn, the city nazim said that he had announced a holiday for all educational institutions in the city in the wake of the overwhelming victory of the Pakistan cricket team.

A city government circular said that a holiday would be observed by all government and private educational institutions including schools and colleges within the city district Karachi. In the meantime, the city nazim also congratulated the members of the national cricket team on their success against England cricketers.
