Three KC outfits in last four stage

KARACHI, Dec 14: Three outfits of Karachi Club, ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ along with Area Snooker Club were through to the semifinals of the Haji Abdul Karim Dhedhi memorial Inter-club snooker tournament at Karachi Club on Wednesday. At the time of filing this piece, the four teams were engaged in their last league match. However, the result would not affect their entry in the last four.

In the two matches decided on Wednesday, Muslim Gymkhana after conceding four frames, staged a great recovery to inflict 5-4 defeat on Karachi Club ‘E’ while Karachi Club ‘D’ chalked up 7-2 win over KPI.

In three matches played late Tuesday, formidable Karachi Club ‘A’ scored a convincing 10-0 victory over Aga Khan Gymkhana, Karachi Club ‘C’ handed a 9-0 defeat to Karachi Club ‘E’ while Karachi Club ‘B’ defeated Karachi Club ‘D’ by identical score line of 9-0.

Both the semifinals will be played on Thursday starting at 6.00pm.
