LAHORE: A young woman and her brother were allegedly found murdered at a house in the Data Darbar area here early on Friday.

Identified as Zainab (30) and Talib (34), both were strangulated and the police recovered their bodies from different rooms of the house.

A police official citing the parents of the deceased said they were allegedly murdered by Zainab’s husband Sufian who fled the scene.

He said the police collected forensic evidence from the crime scene.

Quoting the family, the police official said Sufian was a drug addict and Talib used to ask him to give up drugs.

The bodies were shifted to the city morgue for autopsy after lodging a murder case.

The IGP sought a report of the case from the Lahore police and directed them to arrest the alleged killer as soon as possible.
