KARACHI, Dec 13: Pakistan People’s Party Sindh president Syed Qaim Ali Shah said on Tuesday that thousands of people will march from Quaid’s mausoleum to Sindh high court on Dec 22 to express their anger against the controversial water project, Kalabagh dam.

Talking to party leaders and delegations from various districts of Sindh at the People’s Secretariat Karachi, he said government’s insistence on construction of Kalabagh dam amounts to jeopardizing security of the country as Sindh, NWFP and Balochistan assemblies have voted against the said project.

He asked the government not to take up controversial issues and respect resolutions of smaller provinces, otherwise there would be no place for them in the country.—PPI
