SHANGLA: The district administration has booked three retailers of Ehsaas Kafalat Programme for deducting money from the amounts being given to women beneficiaries.
The people had complained about the matter at an open kutcheri held in Chakesar.
A statement issued here on Saturday said the deputy commissioner had directed the assistant commissioners to arrest the retailers depriving women of their due share in the Ehsaas programme.
The statement said Puran tehsil assistant commissioner Niamatullah Khan conducted raids and got arrested two retailers in Dehrai and Aloch areas, while charging money from women beneficiaries.
Later, cases were registered against them.
Similarly, Chakesar assistant commissioner Mohammad Hamid Sadiq conducted a raid at night and found a retailer disbursing the amount to women after deducting Rs200 to Rs400. He also seized the documents, and imposed heavy fine on the retailer.
Meanwhile, body of an unknown minor girl was found along the Indus River in Bisham on Saturday.
