BD tea prices

CHITTAGONG, Dec 13: The average price of Bangladesh teas fell 1.1 per cent to 81.77 taka per kg on lower overseas demand at a weekly auction on Tuesday, brokers said. “Nearly 1.53 million kg were sold at average price of 81.77 taka per kg, down 0.91 taka from the last sale. The withdrawal percentage was 8.60,” an auctioneer said. Some 50 kg of well made Pekoe Fannings realized the highest price of 255 taka per kg, followed by another 600 kg of Broken Orange Pekoe selling at 122 taka per kg.—Reuters
