Three killed in rivals clash

TO0BA TEK SINGH: Three people were killed while another injured in a clash between two groups here on Thursday night at Bangla Yasmeen of Jhang’s Ahmadpur Sial tehsil.

Police said both groups had an old enmity and a number of murders had occurred in the past. The deceased have been identified as Liaqat Ali, Shoukat Ali and Aslam Khokhar. Injured Muhammad Zafar Tawa was rushed to Ahmadpur Sial THQ hospital from where doctors referred him to Nishter hospital, Multan.

Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan took notice of the triple murder and sought report from Faisalabad RPO Babar Sarfraz.

Jhang police spokesperson said two of the deceased Liaqat Ali and Shoukat Ali belonged to rival groups while the third - Aslam Khokhar - was a passerby.

Further investigation is under way.
