ISLAMABAD: Two persons were killed in separate incidents in the capital on Wednesday.

In the first incident, a man allegedly shot dead his sister in Darwala.

The victim’s father got a murder case registered against his son who allegedly killed his sister, 29, for getting divorce.

In the other incident, a man was gunned down and another injured in a land grabbing incident in Tamma.

According to the first information report, a dozen armed men raided the land of Iftikhar Ahmed and cordoned of the landowner and his companions as they were busy in cultivation. The property has an agreement with a housing society to provide lands for it, it added.

The attackers threatened everyone and then began firing at them as a result of which one, Zahid Razaq, died on the spot while Waqas Zulfiqar was injured .

The attackers managed to escape from the spot.
