Woman hospitalised after acid attack

TOBA TEK SINGH: A man threw acid on a woman at Kamalia on Saturday.

The Kamalia city police said Fazeelat Bibi, along with her four minor children, was asleep on the roof of her house when Ghulam Abbas came there and threw acid on her and fled. She was taken to the THQ hospital where doctors referred her to Faisalabad’s Allied Hospital.

Doctors said the woman had suffered more than 40pc burns.

DPO Rana Shoaib Mahmood reached Kamalia and directed the SHO to immediately arrest the suspect.

SHO Wasim Aslam claimed that the suspect had been arrested.
