GUJRANWALA: The Gharjak police arrested a youth for killing his mother and injuring his sister in a domestic dispute on Thursday.

Haider Ali was at large after killing his mother with sticks and injuring his sister.

The police succeeded to arrest him and during interrogation, Haider confessed to the crime. He said he killed his mother for not buying new clothes for him.

The police seized the murder weapon.

Also, factory worker Arif, 50, was killed on Wakeel Khan Road on Thursday by robbers. He was intercepted by three gunmen when he was returning home after work. The gunmen killed him on resistance. The police are working on the case.
