KARACHI: Incarcerated leader of Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement MNA Ali Wazir was on Tuesday taken to a hospital for check-up.

His lawyer Qadir Khan told Dawn that the lawmaker was shifted to a hospital for a ‘routine’ check-up.

PTM spokesperson Sher Mehsud said the MNA was admitted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) and he would be undergone some tests on Wednesday (today). He said no one was allowed to meet the MNA.

Meanwhile, the National Assembly speaker issued the production order of the interned MNA to attend the ongoing session.

NA additional secretary Muhammad Mushtaq sent the production order to prison authorities asking them to produce MNA Wazir “at the commencement of each sitting of the National Assembly”.
