LAHORE: Practices aimed at building peace should be adopted on the mainstream as well as digital media in order to ensure harmony in the global society, says a resolution in a media conference held at the Mass Communications Department of the Lahore Garrison University.

The two-day International Media Conference (IMC-2022), titled “Balancing the Expression: Exploring Antagonism in the World Media Ecosystem,” was held in collaboration with other universities of Punjab.

The conference aimed at providing an opportunity to researchers and media professionals to share their experiences regarding antagonism in the world media ecosystem and suggesting relevant solutions.

Retired General Ghulam Mustafa was the chief guest while the conference was presided over by VC retired Maj Gen Shahzad Sikandar.

The VC said: “The LGU always patronises such academic endeavours as are meant for devising practicable solutions to the prevailing social and national issues.”

LGU-DMC chairperson Dr Amir Mehmood Bajwa also spoke.

WORKSHOP: Teachers have been urged to focus research and hone their skills so that students could benefit from them.

Speaking at a workshop, titled “Teachers Professional Training Workshop,” held at the Chaudhry Rehmat Ali Memorial Trust Girls Education Complex, playwright and poet Asghar Nadeem Syed said a good teacher was always in search of knowledge and expanded the scope of his knowledge to the benefit of his/her students.
