DADU: Security guards posted at the gate of Sindh University’s Marvi Hostel in Jamshoro on Saturday caught hold of a man and handed him over to the varsity’s rescue centre after a female student raised a hue and cry over being harassed by him.

According to Kashif Narejo, director of the hostel’s security section, the guards immediately moved into action after hearing the hue and cry raised by Tania Tanoli, a third-year student of geography department. She told the guards that a man standing at the hostel’s main gate advanced towards her and started harassing her. The guards took the man, later identified as Amir Khaskheli, and handed him over to the hostel’s rescue centre for an interrogation and further action, said Mr Narejo.
