PESHAWAR, Dec 10: Students of Peshawar University observed black day on Saturday to protest against recent increase in admission and tuition fees. Raising slogans, the protesting student marched to the Students Teacher Centre.

Workers of the Pukhtun Students Federation, People’s Student Federation and other local student organisations also took part in the protest on the call of the Islami Jamiat Tulaba. The black day was observed under the platform of the Muttahida Tulaba Mahaz.

In a statement, leaders of the Mahaz said that the authorities were depriving poor students of their right to education through measures like the fee raise.
