LAHORE: The women engineers on Thursday established Punjab Affiliate Society of Women Engineers (SWE) to promote equity, inclusion, and diversity in the field of engineering.

The inaugural ceremony was held at the seminar hall of Chemical Engineering Department of University of Engineering and Technology. As many as 250 women engineers from different disciplines and universities of Pakistan attended the event.

Punjab Affiliate SWE Founder President Prof Dr Saima Yasin explained the need of the society for promoting harmony and association among women engineers. She said the motto of the society is to promote equity, inclusion and diversity in the field of engineering.
