ISLAMABAD, Dec 8: Information Secretary of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Siddiqul Farooque has demanded reduction in petrol price by Rs17 per litre. In a statement here on Thursday, the PML-N information secretary said since world oil prices had come down by 30 to 34 per cent, petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan must also be decreased to Rs39 and Rs26, respectively.

He said the price of diesel and kerosene oil should be reduced by Rs11 per litre.

If the government failed to do so then it would mean that the government was bent on picking the pockets of the citizens, and the people would reject any reduction by only a few rupees, he added.
