OKARA: Punjab Health Secretary Ali Jan Khan has promised to bring back ventilators which were shifted from the City DHQ Hospital during the Covid-19 pandemic.

During his surprise visit to the hospital on Monday, the secretary also promised more beds for indoor and emergency wards to meet the requirement. He said the MRI machine would soon be provided to the hospital under the outsource scheme.

Some locals and journalists requested that the DHQ South City Hospital and Tehsil Headquarters Hospital of Renala Khurd be equipped with machinery and staff to share the emergency load.

Ali Jan Khan also visited the Pattoki THQ and Sahiwal DHQ to inspect emergency wards, operation theaters and stores.
